My terminators are finally done.
I finished these terminators a while ago but I took these photos recently when the sun came out one day (yesy the sun did actually come out here in Melbourne, winters almost over YAY!) So anyway I've taken ages to finish these models because I've been swampped with all manner of work and other priorities. I have finally based them properly and matt varnished the models. Again not my greatest of paint jobs but more than sufficient for use on the table. Anyway thats it for now, I'm working on a rhino/razorback as you can probably see in my previous post, a librarian, apothecary, chaplins and a series of assualt marines. So plenty of space marines to keep me busy for apocalypse. I probably won't be posting for a while again whilst I get through uni work and more of these mini's.

I should really be studying alot more.

I feel kind of guilty, its assignment week already. Week 6 of the semester is near. At the start of this semseter I told myself amongst doing well at uni and getting into peak shape I really want to get cranking on my space marine army with the advent of Apocalypse. So whenever I've had free time, and believe you me if you have a lifestyle like mine its hard to come by, I've done hobby. I'm made staggered but significant progress. Unfortunately with multiple models on the go I've not actually finished anything lately. I hope to get moving with it again as soon as my assignments out of the way. So for nowthis is what I'm up to I've bought 3 more bikes to go with my chaplin on bike, assembled a new librarian, a chaplin on foot and made head way with my rhino/razorback, my assualt marines and my dreadnought.

Highborne in his full glory.

Righto so I promised to post pictures of the model I painted for my brother's birthday, The Highboren Wood Elf Lord, so here it is;

I'm pleased with the water effect and the little extra bits of 'real' wood from various twigs and sticks that I used to bulk up the logs on the base.

Here a view of the back of the model, the blue sprite brings the model back together nicely (least thats how I felt)

I've also been working on quite a bit of 40k stuff lately, my first tank is in the works having been taken off the sprue and being sprayed black. My dreadnough has recieved its first few coats of paint with drybrushed metal bits and a coat of the mechrite red foundation paint. I will post photos of these when I take some. On the bike chaplin front he's now all put together, his custom sized bike base is completed and the model has been sprayed back, I've still got a while to go with him but I plan on taking my time to get him painted nicely and hopefully use him in a few games soon. I'm also planning on buying some librarians to head my army in place of a marine commander, firstly because it fits in with the blood ravens theme alot better and secondly since they share the exact same stat lines with the addition of having psychic powers. So that is the overall plan for the next few months.

Back

Yes I know everyone is complaining about the echo in here. My apologies for the lack of updates, I've been very busy with a whole variety of paintjobs and projects. I've not done a whole lot of personal hobby since my last post, though I have painted a few models for others.

I finally finished Saint Celestine

I've finished the highborne lord for my brother, although sadly he won't recieve it on his birthday. I will post photos of the completed model with static grass when I can.

I also recieved a model for my birthday, a chaplin on bike. So I figured it was good incentive to get working on that model, so here are some photos of the progress so far;

From sprue, to ......

.... partially assembled. (Its actually fully assembled now and sprayed black)

Many thanks to Christine, Calvin & his Mum for the lovely gift.

More photos and updates to come, I've been working on my space marine army and I have decided I'm going to focus on finishing my blood ravens army, I've made significant progress with my terminators and dreadnought and as I've promised with all the rest I will post updates and pictures soon.
