Thats it for today, Progress so far.

I'm throwing in the towel for the day. Made good progress with the models. The spellsinger is coming along well. Once I decided on the colour scheme it was all pretty easy. I'd already decided I wanted to do a winter themed base, so I chose more neutral colours. Blue armour and cloaks make the scene look "cold". This will go well with the elf flesh and weapons. The sprites will probably be brightly coloured, yellow or red and I've yet to decide how I'm going to paint all the shrubery, probably neutral brows to show they they're half dead due to the cold.

As for the Waywathcer,

Very Busy

I've decided to take on 2 new projects. I'm doing 2 "dioramas" of sorts with the exception that that are just single models. This is my first attempt at modelling full scale terrain and I'm trying to chronologically document all the steps in the process. Again pictures speak better than words, my entire gallery profile is available at ,http://profile.imageshack.us/user/lennyk/, just click on the Warhammer tags for all related warhammer pictures.

What are the two projects you ask?

Well I really like the new wood elf models, and seeing that I play Orcs & Goblins, its not everyday that I get to paint one, or in this case, two of these models. I love how they are elves but still have a very dark and mysterious looks about them. They have a pretty cool background to them and hence are great models to work with.

The first is a wood elf Waywatcher lord. As shown below, as you can see I've prepared the joints for pinning just to make extra sure they don't fall off.

This is such an awesome model, I love how he is cloaked and launching off the "forest floor". The pose is so dynamic and you can almost imagine him leaping and shooting at enemies, fending off those who dare intrude on Athel Loren. Below is the model all put together.

I've also made a base for him to go on, shown below,

...and here's a pic of the base in its early stages, in the wee hours of the morning, when it was first "concieved",

The second is a spellsinger mounted on an eagle, it comprises of an eagle rider (the rider which I didn't use) and the male variant of the spellsinger (he's the dude on the extreme left) I originally wanted the female flying one, but there isn't one to be found on the sunny island of Singapore. I guess you can't have everything

Heres a picture of the assembled model,

This is a picture of the base the mounted rider will be displayed on,

More activity.

I finally finished my goblin wolf riders. I'll post pictures when I get down to taking photos of them. It's pretty time consuming just waiting for all the photos to upload onto the servers, but hey it is free so I can't complain. Anyway I've bee busy with my space marines as you can see. Got a bunch of scouts and assault marines assembled and sprayed black. At the time of writing the red base coat and first highlight on 5 of those models are done, so progress is being made I assure you. Wish me luck in staying on track and churning out a couple more of these squads before I fly back.

Exhaulted Champion Of Chaos

I'm still working on the goblin wolf riders, they're almost ready, I've made abit of a rushed job of them. In the meantime, here are some photos of an exhaulted chapmion of chaos I painted about a year ago, the model originally came with two axes and he was standing on a little rock of some sort. After a bit of conversion work I managed to get him holding two decapitated heads and stick and empire spearmans headless body on the base.

Close up;

So What Have I Been Up To You Ask

Pictures speak for better in this case. I've been busy with my bits box, cutting the stuff of the spruce's as I've said before. I'm almost done with the entire Space Marine Battalion box set. Take it from me, its a ton of plastic to cut, file and stick together.

I still can't figure out how to align all the photo's properly but I hope it still gives you a good idea.
So here are the bits in their place. Plastic bits in plastic boxes, CRA-Z huh.

I still haven't made much progress.

Free Image Hosting at www.ImageShack.us

I have been doing all manner of things other than any real hobby related stuff. The photo above shows the status of the wolf riders I have been trying to get done. As you can see its complete chaos, not a whole lots has been done and I've procrastinate quite a bit. On a more positive note I guess I have almost finished taking all the space marine bits from the battalion box set off their sprue's filing the excess flash and bits off and placing them into boxes for later use.

Gobling Wolf Riders

Well progress on my goblins have been very slow. I haven't been doing a whole lot of hobby related stuff, dabbled here and there painted the 1st highlight of skin on the riders. This batch of figures are probably the worst I've done in ages. I think this stems from the fact that they're light cavalry and usually end up dead pretty early in the game. If they don't they're basically just hassaling other units or preventing marches so I don't see the point in going hard out and trying to do these up studio style. I've tried to commit myself to doing up a real nice blood ravens' force though so in time, and at this rate probably years I hope to have a nice big pretty marine company.

So I promised pictures....... Heres one.

A little photo collage courtesy of Googles Picassa 2. A marine scout in its various stages of compeltion, my space marine commander with his every trusty thunder hammer and my partially completed goblin spider riders (which at the time of posting are now completed). Stay tuned I'm still working on my goblin wolf riders.

Ok so I've procrastinated

I haven't done anything hobby related for the past couple of days. My blog will probably give you a better insight on what I've been up to. I have pulled my goblin wolf-rider's which hopefully means I will get down to some heavy duty painting soon. Then its on to my marine army. I promise I'll put some pictures and stuff like that up as soon as I make some progress.
